I'm working on a craft project right now, and I am reminded just how much I love the smell of certain kinds of glue sticks. Office Depot makes some good smelling glue sticks.
As I got on the highway for my drive to work, I became giddy because I realized that I only had to do make the drive and work the day nine more times before leaving for the wonderful states of New Jersey, Maryland and wherever else we end up. I'm so ready to leave work for awhile, especially since one of the people that I've worked with pretty much the whole time I've been at the library told me that she is resigning to move back to Alexandria to be closer to her family. I know that it's awesome that she can do that and I'm happy for her, but I still cried when she told me. I'm such a hardass sometimes.

You know those dryline adhesive thingys? When they first came out, I used them to wrap presents instead of tape. I have fond memories of the resulting confusion. Like, "How do we open this present?" Sorry, I was reading your earlier post about wrapping Christmas presents (from a week ago!!!) and then the glue part of this one and it reminded me of that.

I had left all of those presents I wrapped near the window and I had the window open to let in some cool air, but then it rained, and my wrapped presents got all wet. I had to wrap those crazy things again.

Why'd it have to go and rain? I guess it IS only fair, though, you did have them wrapped a month and a freakin' half before Christmas.

Yeah, well, it felt so good to have them done! And it _feels_ so good _now_ to have them wrapped!

True. Mine are almost all wrapped. I still have to poke tissue paper in strategic places for a couple. My cats keep pulling the curly ribbons, though. They think they're so hilarious. It's okay, though, because we have the time to do this. It's too cold to garden and all the weeds are all shriveled up.
