You'd think that not writing would stop the comment spammers, but it really doesn't.
The biggest thing that's happened since I stopped writing for no good reason whatsoever is that I started library school. I've made no secret of my distaste for LSU, but that's where I'm going. It helps that I get to stay in New Orleans for class, since they have these distance sites set up throughout the state because LSU is the only college in Louisiana with an accredited MLIS program. So it doesn't actually feel like I'm going to LSU, but I must admit that it was nice going up to Baton Rouge for orientation--only because it was a Saturday and there were very few people on campus, I'm sure.
I like the program although I complain about it a lot and I'm just taking my first class right now. I know that it's in my best interest to get this degree because with it, I can go anywhere! Because there's libraries everywhere!
I still like to make fun of LSU, though. Like does everything have to be purple and gold? Even the SLIS web site? And what's up with this banner on the LSU Library's web site?

Lauren - I don't know why you don't like LSU - if you actually gave it a chance you'd see it's actually a pretty good school. I'm glad I left Loyola for LSU - I learned a lot more at LSU than I ever would have at Loyola. However I agree with Kelly that baton rouge isn't the best city - it can be ok in certain spots though.

Eh, I don't think that it's the academics that I dislike, it's more of the oh my god lsu is so awesome and the only place to go because they've got this cool football team and almost everyone i know goes there and lsu lsu lsu no other school compares feeling that some people have! And I really dislike purple and gold. And it's just so big.

You dislike purple and gold?!! You went to Hahnville - you should be used to it by now. Maroon and gold isn't all that attractive either. :) It is big but all of my classes are small - 5, 9 and 12 people. And there are some dumb people who go there just for the football team or just 'cause all their friends went there, but they're definitely in the minority. And you really seem to attract comment spam.
