We plugged in the fog machine and strobe light tonight in preparation for the trick-or-treaters that better come trick-or-treating tomorrow night because I bought candy for them. The front room of the house looks quite scary when you open the door to a person hidden by fog and illuminated by a flashing light.

I'm not quite sure when I started to get so excited about Halloween. I think that I just like decorating things for holidays and playing with fake blood and bruise-making makeup. I know that I've always liked decorating things, but liking the blood? I come close to passing out when there's real blood involved, but I'm all over the fake blood that comes in tubes.

Speaking of holidays, Shawn and I may be having a Christmas/Housewarming party some weekend in December. To all of you people reading this and who would come: would the first weekend or the second weekend in December work better? Email or comment, please.

Like the new colors of your page and the picture too. The first weekend would be better. Dad's coming off of nights so he'll probably be off.

Either one is fine with me.

did you get any trick or treaters? I didn't. Maybe because I shut my porch light off for the first time in a week and hid in the back of the house because I was embarassed I forgot to buy candy. Either weekend is fine with me, too.

We did get a few kiddies and they were mostly little kids so cute dressed up in their scary costumes. Of course, since they were little, the fog machine and light and my bloody face kind of freaked them out. And then the few older kids were too cool to be impressed, so screw them. No candy, Sara? That's a shame. But, wait, there are no kids in New Orleans!
