Today was a day off from work for me, and Shawn suggested (oh, about two weeks ago) that we go to the zoo the next time I had a day off. We were lazy for most of the morning, but decided to go to the park for a picnic and then head on to the zoo.

The picnic in the park was nice (except when that caterpillar stung Shawn!) but the zoo was not because the zoo was closed. The Zoo-To-Do is tonight, and while I know it's a huge deal, it still made us very sad to see the sign that said we could not enjoy the elephants and monkeys today.
